The joy of an entrepreneur is to get a client most especially new clients, offer him or her services and they should keep coming for more.
It is always good to satisfy a client so that you can be called upon whenever he or she needs you, and if you can keep to that, you will be accommodating different clients from different sources.
Many entrepreneurs do commit sins that can make a client not to call for them again, sins that will make them lose vital people who can add value to their life. Though there are numerous sins entrepreneur do commit when they are on contract matters with their client but the major sins will be listed below:
Failure To Prove Yourself:
When you are on contract matters with your clients you must be able to prove yourself, don’t try to be a stammer, don’t let the client have the doubt in you. You should be able to prove yourself so that the client will be willing to award the contract to you. Clients love to see the assurance in the person they wants to award the contract to and not someone who can not be of help to them.
If you can’t do that, don’t even bother yourself because you will not win the contract. Failure to prove yourself when you are on contract matters with your client will not favour you; it will put you in a big mess that you yourself won’t love to see. Make sure you try to prove yourself, let your clients see the assurance in you so that they would only trust you and nobody else.
So try to prove to your client that you are the right person for the job and that you are capable for the contract.
The Way You Bill:
You must watch the way you bill your clients, don’t bill them to the extent that it will show that you are a greedy fellow. When you’ve allow greediness to enter your billings I bet they will run and they will never love to patronize you.
Billings will decide if they would award the contract to you or not. Even if you are the best, if your billings is not been placed on a nice platform I bet you won’t get the contract. If clients can’t withstand the way you are billing them, they would rather go elsewhere, they don’t care if you are going to provide them with the best service. They would look for another person who is capable. If I were you I will bill them in a reasonable manner so that when I offer my services to them and they love it they would help me bring in more customers that I can gain my money from because the customers my first clients would send to me will not have the guts to complain about my bills if it’s too much because I will proof to them that I did a good job for the clients that send them to me so if they also want a good job they must pay and I bet they would have no choice than to pay. That’s just the logic when it comes to the idea of billing your clients.
So if you are to bill, try to bill in an understandable manner. Don’t bill in a manner that will show that you are the greedy type. If you can try to make your bill affordable, you will go a long way. It will help you big time. So to cut this story short try to bill at reasonable and affordable price.
Bad Communication:
Try to communicate well with your clients, don’t be the rough guy, and try to be calm and patient. Communicate with your customers in a nice way; try to solve every matter in a polite manner that will help you and the client and not in a way that will make the client get pissed off.
The way you communicate with your client is very essential in business. If you really want to win the contract make sure the way you communicate in a good and polite manner that can help solve any matters that is trying to cause confusion. If you are lacking this Idea I urge you to embrace it. So try to communicate in a nice and cool manner with your clients.
Failure To Let Them Know What You stand For:
What am trying to say is that, show them that you stand for the quality and not of the quantity. Try to convince them by letting them know what you stand for. Prove to them that your services are of best quality and not of the bad one, and that a trial will convince them.
Don’t be lame to let them know what you stand for, because if you can’t prove to them on what you stand for, it will cost you a lot. If you really want to win the contract you must let them know what you stand for by letting them know that you offer quality service and you are not for quantity. Even entrepreneurs that are not sure of their services still have the guts to let their clients know what they stand for. Don’t be shy; make sure you follow your guts. I know you are sure of your services so make sure you let clients know what you stand for.
Lack Of Reliability:
If they can’t see the spirit of reliability in you they will not award the contract to you. Try to show to them that you are reliable. No client would love to award a contract to an entrepreneur that is not reliable. Reliability is the key.
Am sure you yourself cannot award a contract to a person that’s not reliable. Let them know that you are the kind of person that follow the principle of reliability and that you will never fail them.

Hi Samuel,
Most important of all is the bill you charge have to justify the service or products that you provide. If the service falls below the value, it will hurt your business credibility.
Thanks for sharing this great post.

Thanks Sam. Everything boils down to the golden rule of doing to other the way you want to be treated. Or more importantly take it a further step and do unto others the way they want to be treated.

Hi Sam,
I think reliability is a very important thing.
Reliability can come from word of mouth, like say people hear that you are good in this task and you are known to finish it or you gain people’s trust that you are a reliable person to do business with.
Thx for sharing this sam.

Hi Bryan,
Yeah, reliability is very mandatory because without it you can go far. Thanks a lot.
I think Communication is the one word that sums up whether we become successful in signing our contracts or not.
Only 7% of communication is oral. No wonder so many of us struggle.
Nice One Bro.

Yeah, you are right. Thanks a lot bro!
Great post, Samuel. I think the most important of all is being reliable. If you show you’re able to do the work and do it to the satisfaction of the client, this will show you’re reliable and capable of performing the necessary tasks and will most likely guarantee future work. This in itself will prove yourself to your clients. Of course, you can’t be lacking in communication or billing, either.
