It’s all in the State of Mind

by Samuel · 28 comments

I still wonder why many people never admit that they can do it, they thought the journey to success is tough and they don’t want to embark on that kind of journey and they only want to be on the smooth path.

These kinds of people are people who think success is by luck, they don’t want to walk into the future, and they want the future to come to them. How do you expect that to happen?

Success is never by luck, it’s by hard work. It’s your hard work that will attract success and that’s when you can call it luck but if you don’t work hard and you are expecting success to come to you by luck then you need to start playing lotto.

What I’m trying to say in this post is that “if you believe you can then you will break new grounds but if you believe you can’t then you can never break new grounds”. It’s all in the state of mind. Have you ever wondered why they say you should always think positive? Many people think in a negative way that’s why they can’t achieve success.

Attitude and thought is what made you to be who you are today. When you think positive, you will yield positive results but when you think negative you will yield negative results. That’s just the logic. Many people are scared to do something good in their life just because they are scared of failure; they don’t want to fail. But do you know that the more you fail the closer you are to success? When you are willing to fail you will win big in life.

I never blame people who are scared; it’s because of the way we are being programmed. When a kid goes to school and he or she fails in school, the child would be scolded for failing that’s why people don’t want to fail, they believe those people who failed are born to fail.

When you fail, you should learn from it so that you won’t commit that same error again. If you want to succeed in this life, it’s all in the state of mind. Tell me, how won’t you achieve success in life when you’ve made up your mind to achieve it?

A mind that is made up to achieve a goal in life will be ready to face any challenges that might come his or her way. The mind will be ready to overcome any obstacles. Even when an obstacle sees him or her, it will be smiling. But the problem is that people are not ready to overcome obstacles in life.

They want everything to be on the smooth path but it’s not possible. If it’s easy to break new grounds in life everybody would be living a very great life. But the journey is not smooth that’s why we need to face whatever obstacles that comes our way.

You can make it only if you try, only if you made up your mind to break new grounds. Everyone is a star, if you believe that’s what you are. It’s all in the state of mind. Don’t think because you are not intelligent so you can’t make it in life, No! You need to change that mindset. You can make in life just because other people are making it.

Many people have the great idea to start a great business but they never give it a try. That’s why most business ideas are destroyed before it’s created.  They are scared of competition; they are scared of failure etc. If you can change your mindset and forget about those things, you will be successful.

Change your orientation totally, believe you can do it and go for it. You just have to do it like Nike. If Nike didn’t take that bold step, it will not be among the top world designers. No matter the idea you have in you, you just have to execute it. There’s no such thing as stupid idea, learn to think big and dream big so that you can win in a big way.

To be successful in life, never think negatively, always think positively. So if you think you can make it in a big way in this life, then you can. But if you think the other way, then you will get the other results. It’s all in the state of mind

Great post, Samuel, and you make an awesome point. Your state of mind is SO important for any venture, but I think it’s especially important in business and blogging. It’s too easy to lose your motivation and become discouraged. You’ve got to stay focused and, like you said, take that first step.

Awesome!

Hey Samuel,

Good article mate and I definitely agree on your point. If you don’t believe in success, then there’s no way to get a step closer to it. First you need to have the belief and then you need to start working and pushing. The second is of course as important, as the first one. If you don’t start acting, then you are still failing. The formula to success in my opinion is a combination between belief, patience, perseverance and action. There are a lot more of course, but those are the more important.

Hi Samuel,

I agree it is all about our mind and to be more specific, about our subconscious mind. If we keep telling ourselves that we will not succeed, then we won’t. Thoughts are powerful, especially if they are followed by emotions. We all can achieve success, we have great potential :) Thanks for sharing

Great post Sam!

Some people believe in luck other don’t! Personally, I don’t believe in luck. I believe that Luck, as characterized by most, is Preparedness meeting Opportunity!

When you work towards something, even if you’re taking baby steps you create what is called the “compounding effect”. Over time, consistent work can turn into something far greater than what you had anticipated (i.e. Opportunity), thus proving that all the hard work you put into something, up to that point, had been worth it.

Similar to a post that I just posted on my blog about setting aside 10% of all income earned. It may seem like a small and insignificant amount to set aside for investing or for building a business but over time that 10% becomes a very big number.

Hey Sam,

Thanks for the awesome post my man!

I totally agree you are absolutely correct. A persons success always starts with the mindset the have. If they have a positive mindset then more times than none they will experience positive results. If they have a negative attitude then they will experience negative results. People should working on improving the mindset they have because many people don’t believe in their own abilities.

You simply have to believe in your own abilities.

Thanks again!

God bless,

The state of mind is so important to us! It defines what we do and how much we can do of it. How can we run marathons, lift weights, solve puzzles, be a parent, work on projects, and so much more, if we don’t have the right state of mind?

Beautiful stuff, thanks for sharing Samuel :-)

Samuel, It is great to see some awesome insights here brother. I agree some people think they are not lucky enough to succeed. Plus, many fear success because they are not used to stepping out of their comfort zone.

I am glad you pointed out that success comes through hard work and so does lady luck. It is all in our head – Absolutely!

Thanks for the great read and very happy and prosperous 2011 to you.
Later on brother!

Really inspiring article Samuel. I liked when you said this “When you are willing to fail you will win big in life”. Failure only means the opportunity to start over and try again more intelligently.

If you are willing to fail and learn from your failure you’ll accomplish much more in life than the average person.

Thank you for the encouragement to think positively and believe in myself. I’m sure a lot of people will find value in this post thanks for sharing.

Mindset is a very important Key to Success! I’ve learned that I not others control my beliefs, motivation, moods, success and more.

But I am not more gifted that anyone else it just that I’ve learned from reading, life and taking chances that we are all programmed with out limits. And those limits have been programmed into us by our parents, teachers, friends, etc.

They didn’t do it to hurt us they were mainly passing down their belief’s from their own limitations. They might even tell us that we can be anything we want to become, but the problem with that is we believe more of what we see rather than what we hear.

So if our parents tell us that we can be what ever we want to be but we see them holding themselves back and not going for their dreams it will rub off on us as a limitation.

We can break those barriers but it will take some deep personal work on ourselves first before we start to move forward. My wife and I have done this work and we’ve passed this down to our children and to anyone that wishes to learn from us.
