A very good friend of mine and a mentor- Jack Liu is holding a conference summit for teen’s entrepreneurs who are ready to break new grounds in life. As you all know that Teens are the future of the world, so if you are teen who wants to become an entrepreneur and you’re reading this, I’m urging you to signup for the conference summit. Also if you are a father or a mother who wants his or her child to be part of this great event, please urge your child to register now.
Jack is a great guy and a go getter. And I’m very sure that you will never regret for giving it a try. I once interviewed him on MegaBizFlakes, you can check out the interview here. So in order to know more about the conference, I decided to interview him so as to tell us more about it.
Read below to know more about the conference summit for teen entrepreneurs. After reading it, please share your comment below. And I will be glad if you can do me a favour, and the favour is- help me spread the word about this by sharing this post on social bookmarking sites.
How are you doing Jack? Could you please tell us about yourself?
Hello Sam, first I like to thank you for this opportunity and to all the readers of MegaBizFlakes. I’m first and foremost a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ. I’m also an entrepreneur that wants to make the impossible happen. I run a site called Teen Business Forum, which is the leading online community for teen entrepreneurs. We believe that successful and ethical entrepreneurs make the world a better place. That’s not a requirement to join the community but all our members believe that.
I was informed that you will be holding a conference summit; could you please tell us more about it?
That’s right. The conference, Teen Business Summit is an entrepreneurship conference directed as teens held on August 22nd – 24th. The speakers that we have announced so far include former Apple evangelist Guy Kawasaki, who wrote the very popular Art Of The Start. Also, we have Yanik Silver, the Godfather of internet marketing. Matt Mickiewicz who started Sitepoint, 99 Designs, Flippa will also be presenting. And there’s so so much more to come.
We are having it across 3 days for very specific reasons. On the first day, we will have mostly big picture stuff. The presenters on that day will mostly be experienced entrepreneurs. On the second day, it will be young entrepreneurs who started when they were teens. Matt is one of such entrepreneur. And on the 3rd day, we will have all teens present their current business so people watching can start right away.
So with the way the days are organized, we are able to show the entire entrepreneurship lifecycle but backwards. Teens can see why entrepreneurship is important on the first day. On the second day, they can see successful entrepreneurs who have been in business while they were in their teens. Teens can sort of see how they will be if they themselves continued to learn and operate their business. And finally, teens can directly see how to get started. It’s really going to be something that people will be talking about for years to come.
Why did you choose to hold this conference summit?
Because I believe teen entrepreneurs are the future. I certainly understand that there is a “young entrepreneurship” movement going on. But many of them started as teen entrepreneurs. And with the vision where we believe successful and ethical entrepreneurs make the world a better place, we have to reach the teens while they are still impressionable. And it’s much more fun to work with teens because their idea of how the world works has not been corrupted by people telling them things like “You can’t do that”, or “That won’t work”, or “You’ll never succeed”.
I want to destroy that negative thinking very early on in someone’s life. And what better way to do that than to throw a party (conference)?
The conference, Teen Business Summit is really the first of its kind. Right up until now, all the entrepreneurship conferences have been held in person. That is great but creates a problem for most teens. They won’t be able to cover the cost to attend. But I have heard from many 14 and 15 year olds (and older) who want to start going to business conferences to be inspired and know what’s possible.
With the demographic that TBF has, it’s impossible to hold a in-person conference. So I opted to hold a virtual one. Teen Business Summit is the first ever business conference that will be conducted entirely online via Skype video. And anyone in the world can attend because I wanted everyone to have access to the great speakers we have lined up. Did I mention the conference is free to attend? We have selected roughly a 3-hour time block each day so that the whole world can tune in. In that sense, it is truly global.
Who will this conference summit be of great help to?
We believe the conference will have three types of people. First and foremost it will help teens. For teen entrepreneurs, it’s obvious. They see successful entrepreneurs talk about their business, their successes and failures. That’s extremely valuable. Another set of teens is the ones who may not be entrepreneurs yet. One of their friends told them to check out this conference because “it’s cool”. We believe that once they attend the conference, they will then become inspired to start down the entrepreneurial path.
It will also be of great help to young entrepreneurs because they also get to learn from others their age group. Finally, I believe it will help people who are older who may have kids. One, I believe they will be very inspired to see what the current generation is doing. They themselves may be inspired to start businesses! But more likely is that they can start to identify when their kids develop entrepreneurial traits. Instead of stopping them, parents should fully support them in whatever they do. By having a showcase of teen entrepreneurs, we are showing parents what some examples would be.
When is it holding and how can entrepreneurs register?
The conference will be held on August 22- 24th. It will be streamed in a 3-hour time block each day. The time has not been announced but we believe we have identified a time where a big majority of the world will be awake. There’s no “registration” per say because it’s free but what people can do is sign up to the conference email list to stay informed whenever a new speaker is announced. When the conference gets closer, we will let them know how to actually “attend”. So if this conference sounds interesting to you, sign up here: http://www.teenbusinesssummit.com
Are you the only person who will speak to entrepreneurs or other entrepreneurs will also be available?
I do not intend to speak at all except to do a few introductions. Maybe after the conference is over, I will hopefully feel I have some entrepreneurial experience to add. Haha. We have already announced some very big name speakers. Many, many more will come.
Why should entrepreneurs signup for the conference summit?
To be inspired, see what’s possible, and how to get started in “Creating A Better Future”.
What will they gain if they should signup?
This is not official yet but we will be holding contests for people who signed up on the email list. One such contest we are thinking of is to allow people to pitch their business in a 30-second video. And we will take the best ones and showcase it at the conference. And that’s going to be a lot of eyeballs- we’re expecting something like 10,000 each day.
What are you still waiting for?? Hurry up and signup now. I’m assuring you that you will never regret it. Feel free to share your opinion below. Thanks so much!

Great idea presented here Samuel, thanks for sharing this with us!
The more that young potential leaders and entrepreneurs can learn now, the more of a headstart they will have, and so the more they will be better equipped to deal with the highs and lows of entrepreneurship

Hi kid! I’ve just registered in behalf of my teenager. He’s into a lot of things, very sales-y and artistic. But I gotta prod him first into seriously considering. LOL! Will definitely want to be there with him during the summit. There’s much I want to learn as well! Gee, feels young again!
